Autumn Family Session at Confederation Park in Calgary

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing long-time family friends at Confederation Park in Calgary during the early days of autumn. The leaves were just starting to turn, painting the park in shades of gold and amber, and the warm air added a fresh energy to the session.

These two kiddos were full of life, running through the trees, playing in the grass, and sharing those small, unforgettable moments that make family photography so special. Their laughter was contagious and made the session feel effortless and joyful. Mom and Dad were wonderful, guiding their little ones with patience and warmth, and their connection as a family truly shone through every image.

I always love sessions where families can simply be themselves, letting the personalities and relationships take centre stage. The park offered a beautiful backdrop for these candid moments, from quiet snuggles on a blanket to playful races across the open field. Each frame captured a sense of familiarity and comfort, the kind that comes from knowing each other for years and cherishing the moments together.

Photographing families I have known for a long time is always a special experience. There is a trust and ease that allows for authentic moments, and this session at Confederation Park was no exception. It was full of laughter, connection, and the kind of memories that families hold onto forever.

I am so grateful to have spent this early autumn afternoon capturing their story!
