From a Swipe to Forever | Calgary Engagement Session at Carburn Park

Some stories start in the most unexpected places, and sometimes, all it takes is one swipe.

These two met on a dating app, but from the moment we started shooting, it was obvious this was something special. Their connection was natural, easy, and full of that kind of energy you can’t fake. The kind where you don’t have to overthink anything — you just are.

We met at Carburn Park in Calgary during golden hour, and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. That soft, warm light paired with the quiet of late winter created such a beautiful contrast. Even with the chill still in the air, their warmth completely took over the session. It’s proof that no season, not even the tail end of winter, can dim something this genuine.

What stood out most was how comfortable they were together. Every moment felt effortless. The laughs, the way they looked at each other, the quiet in-between moments, it all told the story without needing anything extra.

And the best part? This is just the beginning!!

They’ll be saying “I do” this summer at Peyto Lake in Banff, surrounded by those iconic mountain views. If this session was any indication, their wedding day is going to be filled with just as much love, joy, and connection.
