Sweetest Hockey Family Fall Session at Fish Creek in Calgary

Some families just leave me smiling long after the session is over, and this crew was exactly that. They are a full-on Calgary hockey family, and somehow, despite their insanely busy schedule, they still managed to squeeze in a fall photo session with me. I felt lucky to catch them between practices and games!

The boys were listening to a sports game during the shoot, and it made me laugh in the best way. It was the most “sports family” thing I have ever seen and I loved it. It also allowed us to sneak in some sweet couples shots of mom & dad!

Their mum is one of the sweetest people I have met in a long time. The kind of person who instantly makes you feel welcome. The whole family has that warm and genuine energy that makes my job feel less like work and more like spending time with good people.

We wandered through the golden grasses, tossed around a football, found the perfect pockets of autumn light, and crossed over the wooden bridge that gave us those beautiful warm tones. The whole session felt relaxed, easy, and full of laughter.

It is moments like this that remind me why I love what I do. Meeting families who are kind, down to earth, and full of life is truly one of the best parts of this job. This family showed up with zero fuss, loads of love, and a whole lot of personality. I am so happy I got to capture this chapter for them.

Thank you to this lovely hockey family for making my day and letting me freeze these moments in time. I’m so glad we got to recreate some old family favourites and I hope these photos bring back happy memories for years to come!
